Responsibilities

Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting, and job costing Provide technical support and direction regarding project material controls including delivery dates, construction schedules, and design requirements to ensure additional costs are minimized Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with the client base Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Civil Engineering degree required Caltrans experience preferred Proven working experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager on a large civil construction project Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to discipline Aptitude for learning Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards for civil construction Maintain ability to work in a high production environment Demonstrated decision-making skills Excellent leadership skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Advanced MS Office skills Benefits
