Position Summary:We are seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our Ontario, CA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, management, and oversight of civil engineering projects related to substation and transmission line facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee project components such as grading design for site development, stormwater management, and treatment design.
- Prepare hydrology reports and conduct storm drain analysis based on project requirements.
- Design access roads, including both paved and unpaved sections, ensuring effective vehicle maneuvering and haul road analysis.
- Manage project scope, budget, and scheduling, while preparing proposals and monitoring project progress.
- Ensure quality control and provide oversight for both internal and subcontracted project teams engaged in detailed design activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of project management experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and the capacity to meet fast-paced project schedules are critical.
Preferred qualifications include a California PE license and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Additional knowledge in retaining wall design, public improvement design, permitting, and jurisdictional specific plan preparation is advantageous.
Successful candidates may be subject to client-mandated drug/alcohol testing and background screening. A clean driving record is required, and applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status.
