Proactively implements company safety programs to enforce compliance on all divisional job sites and prevents accidents and reduces time lost due to accidents by developing, communicating and training on safety programs and policies. Essential Functions Responsibilities Enforces compliance with federal and state safety regulations on all Develops and administers company’s safety programs and policies with Safety and Operations Participates in intra-company Safety Task Team meetings, initiatives and planning Reviews project plans and specifications and make recommendations to Operations on potential Oversees and conducts education and training programs for employees, subcontractors and owner representatives and ensure programs are effective and cost Conducts random safety surveys and audits; implements changes to meet identified Manages incident investigations and open claims and analyzes claim data for prevention Assists Project Safety Task Teams with weekly safety evaluations and necessary Ensures job startup kits and signs are prepared for Ensures Safety team is communicating progress, issues, and new developments with company employees on a regular basis. Maintains division-wide records, including daily injury logs, OSHA 300 forms, meeting minutes, subcontractor correspondence, Prepares and analyzes reports that summarize and forecast division activity and financial impact in areas of safety, worker’s compensation, and other safety, health, and environmental Prepares and manages the Safety Strives to continually seek feedback and improve services/tools/department deliverables to internal Promote Customer Relations Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer’s Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company Culture, Leadership and Employee Development Promotes and communicates our vision and purpose through Service, Talent & Serves as a role model and promotes professional Participates in company training programs and commits to self-development. Perform other related duties as needed Time is split between an office setting and on job sites in an office trailer or in an existing Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions. Working Conditions The project team and/or team member may need to move to other projected work geographic locations, if necessary Education, Experience and Knowledge B.S. in Safety & Environmental Health or related field and 10+ years of experience, preferably in the construction industry. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity the years of experience may vary. Certified as a Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) required. Demonstrated ability to assist with more than one project at a Demonstrates solid customer service skills and verbal/written Demonstrates the ability to mentor/train Supervises and develops direct reports while prioritizing and delegating significant responsibilities to Demonstrates leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others, while maintaining effective relationships with customers by meeting or exceeding their requirements and Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
