Safety and Security Specialist - Full-Time Position

The Safety and Security Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and property at Providence Health & Services. Given the frequent public interaction associated with this role, exceptional customer service skills are imperative. The Specialist will perform regular patrols of the facility, respond to and investigate security incidents, report safety concerns, and accurately document actions and observations throughout their shift. Additionally, they will respond to alarms and codes, providing traffic control and assisting with safe patient management. Routine safety inspections of the premises will be conducted, and any identified concerns will be reported for remedial action.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of TASER training and certification (with annual re-certification) within 6 months of hire.
- Experience and/or training in customer service.
- Associate's Degree.
- One year of relevant civilian or military security/law enforcement experience.
- Experience in healthcare security.

The compensation details provided are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, including shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
