Position: Quality Assurance RN - Patient Safety Officer

As a member of the Providence Health & Services team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient safety and quality assurance initiatives. This position is integral to supporting the patient safety team and advancing the Culture of Safety Initiative within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts to identify high-risk areas through comprehensive analyses, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and case investigations.
  • Conduct thorough interviews with healthcare professionals to gather detailed insights into specific cases.
  • Facilitate RCA Analysis Teams and Review Committees to ensure accountability and effective action plans are established.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding adverse events and necessary reporting.
  • Manage compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies related to event reporting.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate risk management and safety initiatives.
  • Develop and implement educational programs aimed at enhancing staff understanding of patient safety protocols.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution or actively pursuing a BSN.
  • Current Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in project management and change management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing, business, or a related field.
  • Training and experience in process improvement methodologies.
