The Director, ABA Clinical Support is responsible for clinical training delivery and quality assurance across the Behavior division, as well as clinical supervision and support for select clinicians. This position will also support the clinical team, including Site Clinical Managers / Directors, BCBAs, and Licensed Behavior Specialists through training, mentorship, and professional development. In partnership with the Sr. Director of ABA Clinical Services, this role provides support to ensure that each clinic has the best possible outcomes, follows best practices, and achieves the mission of NeurAbilities.

What you will do:

Clinical Training Delivery

  • Leading implementation of ABA clinical competency framework, partnering with the VP of People Operations and Sr. Director of ABA Clinical Operations as needed.
  • Delivering a new clinical hire training plan, in conjunction with Site Clinical Managers / Directors, to ensure effective and efficient onboarding of new clinical staff.
  • Identifying gaps in knowledge and competencies for clinical teammates and providing training in areas of focus for said teammates.
  • Supporting the review and training of new processes across the clinical function, in partnership with Sr. Director of ABA Clinical Support and General Manager of ABA Services.
  • Providing subject matter expertise in creation of clinical and management training, designed in conjunction with VP of ABA Clinical Quality and Assurance, VP of People Operations, and Learning and Development Manager.
  • Supporting regularly scheduled group supervision of clinical team as needed, in alignment with IBHS regulations.

Quality Assurance and Auditing

  • Conducting audits of all ABA clinical practices and metrics against goals and requirements and implementing corrective measures where applicable.
  • Conducting monthly internal audits and evaluations of fidelity to ensure optimal implementation of treatment interventions.

Clinical Oversight and Supervision

  • Supporting Sr. Director of ABA Clinical Services in consulting on gaps in Site Clinical Manager / Director role performance and clinical issues while monitoring program progress.
  • Conducting supervision for assigned clinical staff, ensuring high quality oversight and timely documentation.
  • Provides in person and virtual support to assigned sites, based on the needs of the business.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in ABA or related field.
  • Board certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA, BCBA-D).
  • Behavior Specialist/BCBA License for assigned state(s).
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working with clients with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting; or
  • 3+ years of professional experience training, mentoring, and managing BCBAs and supporting a team in an intensive treatment environment.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the field of ABA including comprehensive intervention development and implementation for children and adolescents and supervisor training as identified by BACB.
  • Experience supervising and developing BCBAs and LBSs.
  • Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit individuals with autism spectrum disorder, including familiarity with current related research findings.
  • Experience using ABLLS, VB-MAPP, PEAK, Vineland and QABF, MAS, FAST and Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Maintain CEU requirement, state-specific licensure, and BCBA credential with Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for building positive culture and systems.
  • Knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit individuals with autism spectrum disorder, including familiarity with current related research findings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to the policies.
  • Knowledge of IBHS and managed care organization regulations and requirements.
  • Knowledge of BACB ethics codes.
  • Ability to apply BACB ethics codes while maintaining integrity and promoting best practices.
  • Ability to drive and lead practices while adhering to requirements of the state and managed care organizations.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain healthy, productive working relationships.
  • Ability to conduct FBAs and design behavior intervention plans based on the results.
  • Ability to train new behavior technicians and family members regarding client treatment plans.
  • Ability to use various assessment tools, including VBMAPP, ABLLS, AFLS experience designing and implementing treatment plans and recommendations based on results in the initial assessment.
  • Ability to analyze data and summarize progress across multiple clinics.
  • Strong time-management skills along with flexibility and the ability to prioritize.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong written communication skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Estimated 60% travel, dependent on need.
  • Travel is typically local during the business day between the hours of 7am and 7pm, depending upon the assigned caseload, but can also extend overnight based on the destination and needs of the business.
  • This job operates in a clinic, home, or school environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer/tablet and phone.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks involving verbal communication and physical activity, which may include prolonged periods of walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping.
