General Information:

Job title: Insurance Process Specialist

Schedules Available: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday

Weekend rotation: No weekends

Holiday rotation: Paid Time Off for Holidays

Position Summary:

The Insurance Process Specialist position maintains accurate posting of government, commercial, and personal payments to the appropriate system/ledger.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Review and post insurance payments to accounts, general ledger payments, client payments, credit card insurance payments. Make copies of checks. Prepare deposit tickets. Post electronic remits. Checking to see what gets posted to account and what does not.
  • Create files that are sent to State Collections every day.
  • Corrections/adjustments/refunds
  • Recording and filing daily paperwork
  • Phone back up when needed
  • Scan daily folders.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
  • Experience working in insurance preferred.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
  • Knowledge of insurance beneficial.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
