We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Blood Collection Specialist to join our team at Mile Bluff Medical Center. As a vital member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our blood collection processes.

Job Overview

This is a part-time position requiring 16 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks). The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals to collect blood samples from patients for various medical tests and procedures.

About the Role
  • Drawing blood from hospital patients using venipuncture techniques
  • Performing heel sticks and finger pokes as required
  • Verifying patient information and preparing specimens for lab analysis
  • Processing lab orders, including reviewing and printing pathology reports
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies or issues
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy training or certification (preferable)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with computers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits
