About This Exciting Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Processed Meat Manager to join our team at Festival Foods. As a key member of our meat department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.

This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Summary:

The Processed Meat Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the meat department operations, including labor, expenses, pricing, stock levels, merchandising, and guest service. You will work closely with other associates to ensure seamless execution of daily tasks and exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports Meat Department Managers in their absence by taking charge of department operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.
  • Reinforces Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations among all Meat Department associates.
  • Contributes to store sales and profitability by effectively managing labor, expenses, accurate pricing, stock levels, merchandising, and guest service.
  • Monitors sales floor and back stock conditions to identify areas for improvement and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Maintains optimal inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received and sold.
  • Assists customers in finding items on and off the sales floor, addresses concerns, and resolves issues when guests are not satisfied with services or products.
  • Ensures overall cleanliness of the department by organizing, cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floors as required.
  • Ensures quality standards are met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.
Requirements:
  • A High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Wisconsin Certified Food Manager License (reimbursed by Festival Foods).
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and coach others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of technology and computer applications.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and associates.
  • Familiarity with safety requirements and company safety policies.
  • Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and respond to potential safety hazards.
