What do we need?

The Donor Relations Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the development team with a strong emphasis on fundraising and stewardship. This includes ensuring accurate processing, maintaining donor records, and providing high-quality experiences for donors and community partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the advancement team's ability to develop and maintain relationships with donors through email, phone, and in-person communication as assigned.
  • Generate meaningful donor acknowledgments and correspondence.
  • Assist with the identification of donors with potential to engage in new opportunities as available.
  • Monitor various email inboxes to ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  • Organize and collaborate with Corporate & Community Giving Officer and program staff on special corporate activation opportunities including drives, volunteering, and on-site events.
  • Maintain in-kind donation program, including soliciting in-kind support in alignment with department goals, recording donations as they are received, providing excellent service to donors, collaborating with program staff to identify specific program needs, and supporting the distribution and organization of in-kind donations.
  • Assist in executing fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Support fundraising team with basic operations and data processes and tools, helping them understand and utilize data effectively in their daily tasks.
  • Maintain quality and integrity of data and programming, seeking continuous improvement.
  • Utilize Community Centric Fundraising principles in day-to-day work.
  • Assist with special projects, development activities, and donation collection.
  • Collaborate with program staff and other development team members.
  • Identify and recommend process changes in your work area to enhance supporter experience and team efficiency.
  • Serve as back-up to Development Operations Specialist for gift processing and acknowledgement.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Pay and Benefits:
  • $25.00 hourly
  • Full-Time, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent four years of experience
  • Interpersonal Skills: Maintains confidentiality, practices active listening, remains open to new ideas, and establishes rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Dependability: Follows instructions, takes responsibility, keeps commitments, and completes tasks on time.
  • Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, seeks improvement, and ensures quality performance.
  • Problem-solving: Quick decision-making abilities with a knowledge of when to seek help.
  • Customer service experience: Preferred.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations: Preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to issues of homelessness, poverty, and/or social justice.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.


Salary Description
