TSC is seeking a forward-thinking & highly motivated Supply Chain Analyst I. The ideal candidate is a collaborator who will proactively support the Supply Chain team in a timely manner, who is able to work fast and under pressure, who works to understand and enhance supply chain processes, assemble data, identify problems, and provide recommendations that support program planning and operations. Critical to the job, the candidate supports material planning functions by actively working purchase requisitions to support inventory levels needed to achieve forecast and schedule requirements, coordinates with Engineering to ensure the timely ordering of Advance Material Order (AMO) requirements for long lead time items and project-based orders.

This is an in-person position supporting our Huntsville, AL location reporting to the Supply Chain Analyst lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates primarily with Supply Chain Team and as assigned, supports other TSC internal functional team members reviewing manufacturing requirements to determine materials necessary to achieve the plan.
  • Support Supply Chain Team with project costing requests to identify responsive and responsible suppliers, work material RFQ's - raw material, electrical components, tooling.
  • Enter and manage Purchase Requisitions in Costpoint per requestor specifications and/or program needs.
  • Provide timely feedback supporting proposal and build efforts including, but not limited to, current and potential shortages, participating in the development and execution of a recovery plan.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to ensure that data is accurate and up to date, including creation and modification of requisitions, and coordination with Suppliers, Purchasing, Quality, and Materials the flow of material needed for production to support MRP/PM request dates.
  • Influence make/buy decisions for established/repeat build products.
  • Support RMA customer returns as required/needed.
  • Other team support functions as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in procurement, inventory control, and/or materials planning role
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Experience with Material Resource Planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel
  • analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand technical drawings/ requirements.
  • AA/AS in Supply/Operations Management, Business, Accounting or Finance or 5 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree in Supply/Operations Management, Business, Accounting or Finance preferred or 5 years related experience
  • Experience with Costpoint
  • Experience with contract manufacturing (electrical/mechanical/assy)
  • Product Lifecycle Documentation system's experience
  • Working knowledge of Government sourcing rules, FAR/DFAR, ITAR, CUI
