Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation Machinery We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience developing process and/or automation machinery into manufacture. You’ll take on a key role in creating robust, manufacturable detailed designs for our robotic manufacturing system. A strong background in Engineering, gained either by degree or vocational route. Proven, hands-on experience developing and delivering products into manufacture. Able to construct detailed tolerance analyses and use appropriate analytical techniques to aid your design work. Highly skilled and fast in the use of 3D CAD (ideally SolidWorks). Demonstrable hands-on experience in complex precision devices in the 10’s-microns to 10’s-mm length-scale. Deep experience of material and manufacturing method selection. The ability to translate devices from ‘works’ to ‘works all the time’ Experience gained within the following industries are likely to have provided relevant experience: medical devices, consumer product, automotive, aerospace, digital printing.
