Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is working with a leading manufacturer and is looking to add an experienced Quality Manager to their expanding team. The Quality Assurance manager plans, coordinates, and oversees the quality assurance program to ensure that product production meets established standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and upholds quality assurance objectives that align with corporate policies and goals.
  • Communicates the quality assurance philosophy to key personnel within the organization.
  • Conducts quality engineering reviews of design and purchasing documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Utilizes statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate current processes and process changes.
  • Collaborates with management to decide on product acceptance or continued business with vendors based on quality assurance evaluations.
  • Reviews data collected during quality assurance activities to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Develops and validates new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
  • Keeps the management team informed of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and the actions being taken to improve conditions.
  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
  • Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities, including but not limited to:
    • Reviewing and approving purchase orders for materials.
    • Receiving metal, reviewing certificates, and quality labels.
    • Reviewing and approving customer purchase orders.
    • Programming tensile testers and conducting software analysis.
    • Managing review meeting package requirements.
    • Clarifying stamp agreements.
    • Conducting supplier audits.
    • Managing requisitions, engineering change requests, NCRs, CARs, and escapes.
    • Validating products.
    • Holding safety meetings.
    • Managing contacts for equipment, calibrations, etc.
    • Conducting internal audits.
    • Overseeing the QEMS documentation and release structure.
  • Maintains knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Actively participates in quality management teams within the organization and leads internal quality audits in compliance with AS9100 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Designs and implements manufacturing and quality assurance training programs to promote quality initiatives. Delivers training projects to key manufacturing and quality personnel.
  • Investigates and implements corrections as required and responds to customer complaints regarding quality issues.
  • Reports any suspicious or hazardous conditions to a supervisor immediately.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and ensures quality and safety by complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Helps maintain clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision, is proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of ten years of related experience.
