The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality operations and/or hotel management.ResponsibilitiesPurchasing and Procurement:•Develop and execute procurement strategies to fulfill business requirements.•Source potential vendors, obtain quotes, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.•Manage vendor relationships, including performance evaluations and contract renewals.•Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and regulations.Project Planning and Management:•Lead project execution and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.•Coordinate cross-functional teams to align project objectives with purchasing and procurement goals.•Provide regular updates and reports on procurement and operational project status, highlighting key achievements, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Communication and Engagement:•Communicate project status, purchasing updates, and procurement strategies to stakeholders.•Facilitate regular meetings with vendors and internal teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.•Address operational concerns and provide timely updates on project milestones and deliverables.Inventory Management:•Oversee inventory levels and reorder points for essential supplies and materials.•Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.•Work with senior leadership to implement an inventory management system and PO process with Villatel's accounting system.•Collaborate with operations teams to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment.Quality Assurance and Compliance:•Ensure purchased goods and services meet quality standards and specifications.•Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.•Stay informed regarding industry regulations and compliance requirements related to purchasing and procurement.Budget Management:•Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and cost control.•Monitor spending against budget allocations and identify opportunities for cost savings.•Work closely with owner relations and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.Qualifications•Degree in business administration, hospitality management, logistics procurement, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.•Proven experience in operations management or related roles within the hospitality industry.•Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and inventory control techniques.•Proficiency in utilizing inventory management software and MS Excel for data analysis.•Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.•Proven project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.•Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.•Ability to work independently as well as effectively with a team with a collaborative and results-oriented mindset.•Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.•Available to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends as needed.•Travel to company locations throughout Greater Orlando/Central Florida as needed is required.•Must possess transportation and a valid driver's license.•Familiarity with hospitality procurement systems such as Avendra is a plus
