Supply Procurement Specialist

IMPACT ON BUSINESS:

Provide assistance to store management and Store Operations leadership with Non-Merchandise Procurement orders. Assist with non-merchandise procurement sourcing and negotiation, coordinate supply chain efforts across multiple internal teams. Act as a liaison between the business and procurement vendors. Support new store operations including planning, analysis and reporting.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Essential Functions]:

  • Assist with Store Supply and Corporate Non-Merchandise orders
  • Collaborate with Store Operations, and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement needs are met
  • Coordinate vendor bid and buy activities, including on-boarding
  • Monitor vendor fulfillment, store receipts and invoice matching
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and business partners in the Non-Merchandise Procurement lifecycle including Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for proposal (RFP), Vendor Evaluations
  • Act as a liaison between business leaders and vendors to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Source new items or services for multiple categories across Non-Merchandise department
  • Assist with month end financial reporting for select Non-Merchandise categories
  • Review, recommend, implement, and document Non-Merchandise Procurement savings opportunities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the training of new hires and development of training material.
  • Cross train on other department duties.
  • Demonstrate the following culture within the Procurement Department: (i) customer service, (ii) continuing process improvement, (iii) building effective working relationships with people outside the department, and (iv) personal responsibility for the integrity of all work

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of prior procurement experience; retail experience a plus
  • Strong Customer Service skills required
  • Knowledge of procurement lifecycle
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel. Must also demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Solution Oriented.
  • Ability to produce quality results within tight timeframes and manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Team player with creative problems solving approach and attention to detail
  • This position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs
