Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team at Manatee Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our hospital's supply chain department, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of our supply chain activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and supervise supply chain activities and related functions and systems to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and coordinate activities of the department Storeroom, Warehouse, and Equipment Room to ensure smooth operations.
  • Select, develop, supervise, and evaluate department staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date department records and reports, including financial and personnel data.
  • Work closely with the Finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist with maintaining adequate levels of supplies to meet patient care demands on a seasonal basis.
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards within the supply chain department.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of supplies.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Vocational/Technical School/Diploma
  • Associate Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years hospital supply experience (or other related roles)
  • Specific Core/Buyer experience preferred
  • Prior experience directly managing employees highly preferred
