Job Description:
Duties: Performs manufacturing activities, including but not limited to: design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, assembly, and repair of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

Responsibilities include:
  • Performing assembly and repair of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Performing testing, checkout, and troubleshooting, utilizing schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
  • Conducting operational testing and fault isolation on systems and equipment, using manufacturing test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
  • Assisting in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information and documentation to develop and evaluate options and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Applying principles of engineering science and technological techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of various goods and services.
  • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and making recommendations or taking actions to improve or correct performance relative to the goals of the system.
  • Bloodborne Pathogens Training & Hepatitis B Requirement.
Skills:
  • A willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges; reliable, flexible, responsible, dependable, and able to complete tasks in a thorough manner; and a strong detail-orientation.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Ability to understand written work instructions, electro-mechanical drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or equivalent technician experience, computer literacy, and hand tool and/or machine tool experience is preferred.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Must be able to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and determine resolutions.
Physical Requirements & Expectations:

Qualifications
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work overtime from time to time as necessary to meet business goals.
