Oversee and drive and technical solution, design, and development across a spectrum of Business Intelligence projects within Reinsurance business landscape. Work closely with Business to capture requirements, formulate technical specification and work with offshore vendor partners in driving the delivery of those requirements. Responsible for development and maintenance of reinsurance business intelligence platform sourced from various legacy and modern data sources. Responsible for managing workforce of offshore and onsite resources. Monitor all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle and Production Support service levels. Manage the technical landscape of applications, architecture, components and interfaces. Produce technical/architectural specification and design/technical documents as required. Ensure that controls are in place and followed to be SOX and SOC compliance. Lead strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual projects and initiatives. Manage the relationship with business to understand requirement and set expectation. Management of product vendor by taking business requirement and translating to deliverables for the vendor; taking delivery of the changes from vendor and getting it installed in our environments; managing the timeline and expectation with the business on delivery points. Employ in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Provide feedback and technical guidance to consultant vendor partners to deliver the best solution for the business partners while keeping time and cost as a variable. Mentor other developers to accomplish results; provide training. Provide production support when required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field plus 15 years of experience in the job offered or as Programmer Analyst, Software Engineer or related position.

Must have:

5 years of experience building enterprise business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Experience with Datawarehouse design patterns. Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting complex reports. Experience with converting legacy reporting solutions to Power BI. Experience with reverse engineering (SSRS, Access DBs, or SQL Procedures), and migrating to Power BI. Experience with Azure Databricks, Snowflake and SQL. Experience with JIRA, and agile development methodology. Experience working in an onsite and offshore resourcing model using 3rd party partners.

Hybrid work model position with 1 day in office and 4 days from within normal commuting distance of the office location.
