their behaviors. We are a family-friendly, individual-focused behavioral healthcare program of group homes and vocational day programs. Full-Time, Monday-Friday, Day Shift, with flexibility for on-call emergencies. Overseeing the Greater Freeport, IL Area JOB DUTIES: Leadership Interviewing/talent selection, Drive employee retention, Manage team performance through accountability and coaching, Ensure the team is compliant with all regulations and policies. Develop/manage/maintenance the schedule for direct care staff for assigned area including coverage for vacation, medical leaves, etc. Review employee timecards timely and make necessary corrections by the payroll deadlines. Ensure the OJT for direct care staff is completed timely and appropriately (i.e. retained/understand) Ensure through regular auditing that direct care staff are compliant with client care documentation including the following: Therapeutic Program Schedule, daily activities, daily shift notes, General Event Reporting (GER), Medication Administration Report (MAR), ISP Data, attendance, etc.) Ensure direct care staff complete all required new hire and annual training by assigned due dates. Be available to answer direct care staff questions during off hours when needed. Individual Care Ensure Individuals have necessary transportation to and from doctor/dentist appointments, recreational outings and activities (work with local Team Lead to assign appropriate DSP) Meet regularly with the local Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional to understand the individual’s development plan and ensure direct care staff are also knowledgeable. Ensure direct care staff follow the Structured Therapeutic Program Schedule as outlined by the clinical team. Collaborate with local registered nurse (RN) to conduct counseling with direct care staff on medication errors. Visit homes in the assigned areas regularly to work with direct care staff to continue their training/develop and provide coaching. Residential Facilities Facilitate maintenance requests from local team – submit maintenance requests with applicable details and follow-up as necessary. Ensure the local direct care staff keeps their assigned home clean and neat – including clean laundry, dishes, etc. Ensure local direct care team is performing regular inventory of all supplies and provide detail/timely communication of any stock deficiencies. Ensure all necessary drills are conducted and documented for each home in an assigned area. Compliance Understand the required direct care staff for each home in assigned area. Assist with onsite audits and visits by various regulatory agencies. Follow the required order of notification and immediately report any event of suspected, witnessed or reported abuse, neglect, exploitation, or misappropriation and ensure all DSP's do the same. Participate in all stages of an investigation pertaining to alleged/suspected abuse and comply with all external investigations or inspections. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure Direct Support Professionals follow all company policies and procedures. Cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Human services, hospitality management, Business management, nursing, or other clinical or related field. OR Associate degree plus 3 years of experience working in a human service field. WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience directly overseeing a team of front-line employees Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the social services or healthcare field. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience with scheduling Ability to develop/coach employee performance. Ability to hold employees accountable to ensure quality of care for Broadstep clients/residents. Ability to collaborate with other departments such as nursing, clinical, and quality assurance. Must be able to pass a background check including criminal and drug test. Must have a valid state driver’s license without any restrictions. Must be able to show proof of vehicle insurance that meets the minimum expectations/coverage Ability to maintain confidential information.
