Posted Monday, September 30, 2024 at 4:00 AM BlueLinx is expanding their Sales team. Bluelinx is looking for a Territory Sales Manager to handle existing customers, as well as grow the region. The right individual for this opportunity will need to have a HUNTER mentality and be a driver to grow our relationships. The Territory Sales Manager must be comfortable calling on previous customers, finding new revenue streams, identifying new business, and supporting already established clients - Relationship building is the key. This position will have a solid base with a commission structure. About BlueLinx Holdings Inc. Responsibilities: Identifies new sales opportunities with new and existing customers. Sales efforts typically focus on selling program business. Maximizes sales efforts by focusing sales time on largest most profitable opportunities (may include segmenting account list). Improves profitability, product penetration and product mix with all customers. Qualifies sales opportunities through market/customer research and teaming with inside sales representatives. Develops sales solutions and competitive pricing strategies. Communicates value proposition to customers. Proposes sales solutions to customers and reevaluate solutions where necessary. Closes sales opportunities by gaining purchase orders and executing all order fulfillment procedures. Provides outstanding customer service and post-sales satisfaction facilitating long-term relationships for repeat business with customers. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent industry experience strongly preferred. MS/MBA a plus. 4+ years of experience as a sales driver. Individual that can both manage an established book of business, as well as increase partnerships. Building Material knowledge is a plus. Market knowledge, product experience and relationship building acumen, along with consultative selling skills. “Hunter” mentality. Strong planning, organization, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills. A solid level of knowledge is needed in account management, scheduling, customer support and service, product knowledge, product pricing, sales support, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and records. The best fit for this role is a self-motivated driven individual. Possesses basic telephone skills with the ability to identify key issues, evaluate facts and recommend appropriate action.
