**ABOUT THE POSITION**

The Assistant Buyer supports the buying team to execute the seasonal buying strategy to achieve sales and gross margin goals. Responsibilities include gathering data, maintaining reporting, and preparing documents.

**HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**

* Provides accurate data enabling teams to analyze current business trends and take action as needed.

* Supports more senior buyers with seasonal buys from planning through execution by preparing documentation, collecting, and analyzing data, and creating visual documentation.

* Participates in cross-functional meetings to gather key information and execute merchandising decisions.

* Creates product catalogs to support seasonal strategy for leadership product reviews and retail stores.

* Uploads orders and reconciles seasonal buys.

* Performs other duties as assigned

**YOU ARE**

* Well-versed in interpersonal communication.

* Analytical and creative and can balance both while creating an assortment.

* Well-versed in time management.

* Resourceful, resilient, and confident.

**YOU HAVE**

* Bachelors degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.

* 1-2 years of buying experience, retail merchandising, merchandise planning or allocation

* Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

* Solid understanding of retail industry preferred, and specific metrics used

* Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent presentation skills

* Illustrator experience preferred
