Water Resources Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Water Resources Engineer in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsibilities:

Execute projects and assignments in coordination with project managers and support staff. Example projects include dam removals, river restoration, dam rehabilitation, flood control, stormwater management planning and design.

Prepare detailed written memoranda and reports on technical assignments and present technical information to peers and clients.

Prepare design documents including drawings, technical specifications, basis of design documents, bid documents and project schedules.

Perform construction oversight/field observation.

Travel to project sites and other offices as required, including overnight travel.

Requirements

3-8 years of professional experience demonstrating skills mentioned above.

B.S. in Civil Engineering or Water Resources related field, M.S. considered a plus.

Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work well in a team atmosphere and on individual assignments.

Ability to travel on temporary work assignments and possess a valid driver’s license.

Experience with H/H modeling, stormwater BMP and river restoration planning, design and monitoring. Construction oversight/field engineering experience with a focus on stormwater management and soil erosion controls is desired.
