Job Summary:
Steelworx Industrial Group, LLC. is seeking a Commercial Electrical Project Manager to join their team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Project Manager oversees and supervises employees within the electrical division. Additionally, the position interacts daily with coworkers, management, third-party vendors, and customers.
The Commercial Electrical Project Manager plays a crucial role in identifying project goals, objectives, and scope. Their responsibilities include creating a comprehensive project plan that outlines necessary tasks, timelines, and resource allocation to meet both company and customer expectations. The Project Manager collaborates closely with the Electrical Division Manager, bidding on new projects, coordinating manpower and materials, and ensuring day-to-day project execution.
Essential Duties/Functions/Responsibilities:
- Bid on new project opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Division Manager to recruit, assess employee performance, and proactively identify coaching and training opportunities.
- Manage work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation for the project team.
- Coordinate with the Division Manager and Assistant Division Manager to assign projects and discuss progress.
- Allocate manpower and materials effectively to achieve daily project goals.
- Maintain regular communication with the finance division to ensure project financial health.
- Continuously engage with customers to meet and exceed expectations.
- Adapt operational strategies to meet construction deadlines.
- Develop and adhere to project budgets, timelines, and quality control plans.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations, building codes, and safety protocols.
- Utilize scheduling software for progress tracking and documentation.
- Exhibit exemplary attendance and adherence to company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Note: Based on the essential duties listed above, this position is considered safety-sensitive, and therefore all work must be performed following quality standards and established safety procedures.
Education/Related Experiences:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Currently a Licensed Electrician in the state of Arkansas is required.
- A minimum of two years of Project Management experience in commercial electrical services required. (Industrial Electrical knowledge is a plus.)
- Valid drivers license and eligibility for company automobile insurance required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in interpreting engineered drawings, bid specifications, and construction take-offs.
- Familiarity with safety procedures, industry regulations, and project management tools.
- Strong industrial and commercial electrical skills.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Effective interpersonal communication with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, and project scheduling software.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing competing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing situations, and meet deadlines.
- Competence in safely operating company vehicles and trailers.
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 are preferred.
