About the role:
  • FYE is 6/30 so this is annual budgeting peak time
  • Director of FP&A is going on mat leave this Friday
  • 3+ month commitment as Director will be coming back end of August or so
  • Annual Operating Plan
  • Budgeting done in an Excel File and hasn't broken yet
  • 7 entities with about 20 different departments within each entity
  • Controller for the entity will do the broad stroke for the budgeting lay out but this consultant would consolidate the budgeting templates
  • Analyze what the controller is doing, look for consistency, go back to the Divisional Heads to see if they are all reasonable numbers.
  • The day to day: Analytics around new assets (such as a new parking structure), chart of accounts, reporting around them, a new concert hall, a new restaurant.
  • Heavy focus on GL
  • Lots of balance sheet account recs as they wrap up Year-End
  • Fixed assets
  • Reconcile parking lot revenue
  • Treasury support as this person will be doing cash account reconciliation
  • Their new ERP MS D365 went live recently and they can do daily cash reconciliations with it, they aren't quite there yet. But want to start doing weekly cash reconciliations
