Position Overview
The Accounting Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting department with essential transactions within Alliance Resource Group and its subsidiaries.

This individual will frequently collaborate with both internal and external teams to implement new procedures and foster optimization throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute financial closing processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses related to intricate accounting areas.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Accounting close management tool (FloQast) for global application across the company.
  • Regularly assess general ledger accounts to ensure appropriate underlying support and promptly investigate and resolve any reconciling discrepancies.
  • Maintain a strong partnership with the FP&A team to address the evolving business needs across the organization.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place, including proper documentation in compliance with SOX regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments on special projects and liaise with internal and external auditors on a quarterly basis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a demonstrated capacity to build and maintain relationships while communicating confidently and professionally at all organizational levels.
  • In-depth understanding of financial statements, general ledger operations, and fundamental accounting concepts such as intercompany eliminations, transfer pricing, and revenue recognition.
  • Ability to consistently identify and enhance accounting processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency while maintaining or increasing accuracy.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of prioritizing and executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience in public and/or private sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or medical device companies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is preferred.
