JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Equipment and Crew Management:
- Keep crews equipped with necessary tools and equipment.
- Ensure daily vehicle and equipment check and maintenance.
- Confirm crews turn in daily paperwork and Job Packets.
- Confirm crews leave toolbox talk on time and begin work at the required time.
- Departure Checks:
- Confirm crews leave the yard on time with required materials.
- Administrative tasks:
- Sending daily reports and quantities to clients and Apex.
- Communicating schedule and any changes to both client and Apex.
- Resource Utilization:
- Efficiently utilize personnel, equipment, and material resources on every job.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Conduct Jobsite Safety Inspections.
- Enforce state, federal, OSHA, and company Health and Safety standards.
- Oversee overall safety of project and complete paperwork associated with it.
- Evaluate and monitor field crew performance.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure crews produce the highest quality work.
- Verify cleanliness and appearance of the jobsite once the job is complete.
- Communication/Customer Service:
- Communicate job status and relevant information to project manager, and team.
- Perform customer service tasks such as addressing issues and solving problems.
- Professionalism is paramount in all interactions, both with clients and among the Apex staff.
- Upholding a standard of professionalism fosters trust, reliability, and respect in our relationships.
- Emergency Locates:
- Call in emergency locates if needed.
- Data Management:
- Provide critical job updates for daily job notes and enter the database.
- Assistance and Confidentiality:
- Assist project manager and team as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality of data.
- Issue Resolution and Improvement:
- Address any field issues.
- Assist in identifying, creating, and promoting effective ideas and solutions.
- Other duties as assigned:
- Participate in team-building activities both during and after work hours.
- Assist with on-the-job training.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of training or experience in specialty areas such as wet utilities, concrete, asphalt preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience in a related field required.
- Lead service line replacement project experience.
- Ability to operate and maintain mechanical equipment and tools is preferred, but not required.
- Must possess and maintain a current Drivers License.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion.
- OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
- Master Plumber License, preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitive and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, DMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
