This person is the primary source for RF engineering solutions as well as a key member of the management team. Position responsibilities include: Keeping technical facilities operational and maintained to standard engineering practice and in compliance with all applicable FCC rules and regulations. Remote troubleshooting to repair and reestablish signal service, often in coordination with non-technical staff

via phone and IT for computer, broadcast, and production equipment. Maintains origination and transmission equipment including transmitters and translators, STLs, control room and studio equipment and computers. Provides routine onsite technical support. Oversight of regional technical budget. Maintain an engineering knowledgebase pertaining to troubleshooting and modification of station systems. Monitor changing technical needs of broadcasting and digital media to pursue regional standardization and meet local needs. Participate in supporting the efforts of the CoastAlaska technical team (IT Director, Tech Manager and Chief Engineer).
