**Job Title: 2nd Shift Pressman (Printing Industry)**

**Job Description**

This is a full-time position, with rotating shifts every 5 weeks from Monday to Wednesday and Thursday to Saturday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM. The 2nd Pressman will assist in the operation and make ready of the sheet fed press, start up and operate the press efficiently, and assist in clean up of the press. Duties also include performing preventative maintenance, calibrating equipment, ensuring consistency in following procedures, and providing complete and accurate information at shift change. The role involves using data collection terminals, accepting direction from supervisors, management and peers to improve quality and performance, and learning and complying with company and pressroom Standard Operating Procedures.

**Hard Skills**

+ 1 - year of work experience in same or functionally similar position

+ Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions

+ Ability to calibrate densitometer and pH meter

+ Knowledge of procedures contained in the quality manual, standard operating procedures and work methods

+ Ability to use the floor shop data collection terminals

+ The ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors is important.

**Soft Skills**

+ Positive safety attitude

+ Ability to work in a team

+ Ability to accept direction from supervisors, management and peers
