Become a vital part of a growing WOODPATEL public works team and increase your knowledge of engineering practices including collection and analysis of data, hydrology and hydraulic computer modeling, civil design, report writing, cost estimating, and project coordination. The Engineer-in-training will support the Project Engineers and Managers by performing analysis and design of projects specializing in surface water hydrology and hydraulics for flood control projects and new development stormwater management.

Requirements:

Applicant must have excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team setting. Knowledge of AutoCAD, HEC-1/HMS, HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, and GIS preferred. Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR entry-level graduate engineer with Master’s Degree in Water Resources. Arizona E.I.T. or reciprocity required.

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) OR
  • 2 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Hydrology, hydraulics and GIS skills
  • FLO-2D experience (preferred)
  • Python programming experience
  • Effective technical writing skills
  • Experience working in a team environment managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and concisely
