Ancient Nutrition is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Supply Chain Manager to drive on-time delivery through strategic planning. The Supply Chain Manager must be capable of fostering strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. The successful candidate will perform strategic procurement and purchasing activities across multiple channels, search for best-in-class suppliers/partners, and continuously look for cost-savings opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Primary point of contact for suppliers
  • Work with comans to investigate supply challenges to keep production on track
  • Forecast raw material and packaging needs to key partners
  • Manage supplier contracts
  • Categorize and identify single-source materials and work on strategies to mitigate risk
  • Identify cost savings opportunities; provide analysis and work with PD, Quality and CoMans to execute changes as they are approved.
  • Manage RFQ's with suppliers and contract manufacturers
  • Maintain pricing database for raw materials, packaging and finished goods
  • Collaborate with Product Development on pricing and new ingredient sourcing
  • Drive continuous process and system improvements within Ancient's purchasing process as well as with their suppliers
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and inventory control to ensure goals are met
  • Report to upper management on raw material issues
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify potential supply chain disruptions
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Perform other duties as necessary
What We're Looking For:

We need a self-starter that can understand and connect the dots at a higher level but who can also dig into the details. They need to be able to foster strong relationships with our suppliers, but not shy away from holding them accountable, in a professional manner. We also need someone who is genuinely interested in this industry and seeks to keep up to date on ingredient trends and market situations.

Experience Required:
  • 4+ years of experience as buyer or analyst
  • Experience in Food or Dietary Supplements Industry is a tremendous asset
  • CPG experience preferred
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to gather and analyze data
  • Great networking ability
  • Solid judgment along with decision making skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • BS degree in supply chain management or business administration
