Amazon's Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement (GSCTP) is on the lookout for a Procurement and Strategy Manager to take charge of Vendor Sourcing and Management duties.
This individual will be tasked with managing multiple vendors simultaneously and directly, collaborating with a team that plays a crucial role in the overall transportation and supply chain strategy.
Effective internal and external relationship management is essential, along with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.In this role, you will be accountable for executing successful negotiations at scale (total spend of $50MM or more), engaging with senior leadership of external vendors, and providing strategic insights within procurement and various Amazon stakeholder teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesNegotiation:
Achieving enhanced financial performance through extensive negotiations for service contracts.
Leadership:
Guiding stakeholder and partner teams indirectly to establish a history of consistently delivering valuable projects.
Strategy:
Formulating and executing strategies for individual procurement initiatives and the overall procurement function to align with all business objectives, not solely financial ones.
Proactive Approach:
Overseeing end-to-end contract projects, navigating various challenges along the way, and preparing for unforeseen obstacles to sustain progress.
Communication:
Articulating expectations and requirements with both external and internal leadership teams, drafting well-reasoned and data-supported proposals, and conducting your own data analysis as needed.
Technical Problem Solving:
Employing problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges, encompassing the entire procurement cycle from sourcing, negotiations, legal considerations, and internal systems updates.

About the Team
A global team responsible for procurement-related activities, which include supporting and/or leading small to large-scale sourcing events and contract negotiations.
Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and ensure that all supplier-related activities meet cost, capacity, and service objectives.
Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree
3+ years of experience in transportation and supply chain
1+ years of procurement experience
3+ years of cross-functional collaboration experience
3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets
Experience with SQL
