Information Software Business Development Leader

Job Summary The Information Software Business Development Leader is responsible for all aspects of sales, support, and developing Information Software business as part of the Industrial Automation Group. They will collaborate with the Rockwell Automation Area Manager, Rockwell Automation Channel Management, and distributor management to develop and implement the Information Software portion of the distributor's business plan. The goal is to achieve the sales goals identified in the planning process and act as the key communicator between Rockwell Automation and the distributor on Information Software technologies. Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Information Software portion of the distributor's business plan in collaboration with Rockwell Automation and distributor management.
Serve as the focal point for all communications between Rockwell Automation and the distributor on Information Software technologies.
Resolve issues to increase customer satisfaction.
Launch new Information Software offerings to sales personnel, including product training, competency with demo equipment, and target account identification.
Ensure the success of promotional programs from Rockwell Automation on Information Software.
Actively promote Information Software during local trade shows, customer seminars, and other distributor promotions to increase customer awareness of Rockwell Automation Information Software capabilities.
Ensure the inside and outside sales force has the necessary Information Software expertise to support daily sales activity.
Maintain required competency by completing training activities for Information Software and related products.
Provide feedback to the Rockwell Automation Area Manager on technical and commercial information, new products, promotions, and any required assistance.
Participate actively in sales teaming efforts to close account opportunities.
Promote the value-add of the assigned products in competitive situations.
Identify and grow new markets for emerging product technologies.
Maintain targets, opportunities, activities, and projects in Rockwell Automation and distributor's business tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical degree, or a combination of education and experience.
Comfortable with sales discussions at and above the manager level.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Rockwell Automation Software, and PTC products preferred.
Familiarity with all aspects of marketing, including market conditions and administering marketing and promotion programs.
Ability to motivate and support outside sales and possess strong presentation skills.
Valid driver's license and clean DMV record.
Must follow vendor guidelines, compliance, and code of ethics, including but not limited to Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Eaton.
Physical Requirements
This position involves standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
50% of the time is spent traveling to industrial locations.
