Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Clerk:

  • Processing various GL account reconciliations and accounts payable.
  • Resolve payable issues as they arise in the daily processing of dealership transactions.
  • Investigate and trace errors and record adjustments to correct inadvertent postings to incorrect accounts.
  • Process incoming payment transactions
  • Oversee vendor collections, follow up on delinquent accounts.
  • Examine and distribute vendor invoices and other payment requests to appropriate general ledger account classifications.
  • Post lender funding and wire deposits.
  • Handle additional tasks as requested by management.

Accounts Receivable Clerk:

  • Generate and issue invoices to customers based on sales orders, contracts, or service agreements.
  • Record and apply payments received from customers accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues regarding payments, credits, or outstanding balances.
  • Contact customers regarding overdue payments, send reminders, and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collection.
  • Assess creditworthiness of new customers, establish credit limits, and monitor credit terms to minimize bad debt risk.
  • Investigate and resolve billing disputes or discrepancies with customers, collaborating with internal departments such as sales or customer service as needed.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and take appropriate actions to address past due balances.
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers regarding account inquiries, payment arrangements, and billing issues.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial metrics for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounts receivable functions to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.

Automotive Biling Clerk:

  • Audit and Post New and Used Retail Deals and Wholesale Transactions
  • Calculate Commissions
  • Review all deal documents for accuracy
  • Process lien payoff checks for trade-ins in a timely manner
  • Reconciles various general ledger schedules
  • Weekly review of schedules
  • Generate and maintain various reports
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Perform other accounting tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
  • Automotive dealership experience is preferred
  • Be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced office
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work well with people on all levels and be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background & drug screening.
