Job Title: Financial Reporting and Compliance (SOX) Manager

Position Overview: The Financial Reporting and Compliance (SOX) Manager will assist in ensuring compliant, complete, accurate and timely SEC and other filings. This individual will participate in streamlining and improving the quality and timeliness of the financial reporting and internal financial controls processes. This individual will work cross functionally with various departments (i.e. finance, investor relations, legal and human resources) to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Update internal policies and procedures in line with changes in financial rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate and prepare information included in earnings releases and Form 8-K, Form 10-Q, Form 10-K and on-line Annual Report, as well as assist in preparation and review of select financial information in Proxy Statement and Registration Statements (S-8, S-3, e.g.) and other filings as needed. Applies skills, discipline, technical and line knowledge. Exercises own judgment using breadth of knowledge and prior work experience.
  • Lead the review of XBRL and ensuring compliance with XBRL requirements. Work independently and make tagging decisions guided by policies and company-specific circumstances in non-standard situations.
  • Coordinate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Maintain/update process flows and internal controls over financial reporting (Sarbanes-Oxley "SOX" Compliance).
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors during financial and SOX audits and interim reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial compliance and reporting processes.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
    • CPA strongly preferred.
    • 4-5 years of experience with publicly traded companies working in a financial reporting and SEC compliance role or with a Big 4 CPA firm auditing publicly traded companies.
    • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • XBRL knowledge and experience.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge and experience with SEC reporting software (i.e. Merrill Bridge, Active Disclosure, or Workiva).
    • Proven track record of implementing process improvements.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in-office (or more if required for certain projects or meetings
