Our client, a mid-market professional services company, is looking for an Accounting Operations Manager on a contract-to-hire basis. The role would be a blend of day-to-day accounting, month end, financial statements, AP, AR, and cash management, and internal reporting. The position will focus heavily on supporting the integration and development of ERP systems. Consulting role with potential for hire

Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for monthly and yearly close reporting and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
  • Manage team and processes related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
  • Creates monthly analytics and variance analysis providing insight into financial performance.
  • Oversees account reconciliation process and implements effective controls to maintain accuracy and compliance with company policy.
  • Support continual process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support implementation of financial systems, including upgrades and training.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and finance leadership.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. degree in accounting.
  • 7-10 years of experience in accounting, project or team leadership roles preferred.
  • Prefer CPA certification and/or public accounting experience.
  • Experience in multi-entity business.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Workday ERP/software is required; the company is going through a conversion and prefers candidates with implementation experience.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
