You will envision event programming that supports the goals of each event sponsor and communicating that vision to our colleagues. You will coordinate, prepare and organize speaker preparations alongside the Office of University and Development Events (UDE) team, throughout the planning of institution-wide ceremonial, presidential and development events. You will create speaker slates, working with our UM leadership, faculty and staff, to create impactful programs that support event specific goals. You will partner with our colleagues to produce impactful events. Reports to:

75% Event Strategy:

Including crafting program concepts that support event goals set by event sponsors (in-person and virtual), and be a lead resource for colleagues to advise on event goals, visions and programming. You will also create a program that meets sponsor goals, inviting speakers to participate in events (development, ceremonial, Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, or Presidential), creating timed event agendas, working with speech writers, providing content for marketing materials, managing speaker preparation process, assisting with the coordination of talking points for participating leaders and volunteers, leading event rehearsals with speakers. 15% Relationship Management:

Including managing a portfolio of events and event sponsors, including our Office of University Development colleagues for internal events and serve as the event sponsor's contact throughout the event planning process. 10% Consultation, Education, and Special Initiatives:

. Required Qualifications*

Significant event industry experience, including program/speaker management. 1+ years of experience providing customer service. Proofreading ability and written and oral communications skills. A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Note: Overtime is required for this position and may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Travel to staff events will be required and may include weekends and holidays.
