Position Overview
Navistar Parts has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager - West Region for CET (Channel Enablement Team).
As part of Navistar CET, the Business DevelopmentManager is responsible for coaching the dealer on how to drive revenue, margin growth and improvements in operational efficiencies by streamlining current processes, reviewing dealer’s partssales strategies and providing inside and outsides sales training.
Responsibilities
Review and advise dealers on the best approach for improvingtheir lead generation pipeline, outbound calling and relationship building
Improve customer service, outside sales & time management skills
Develop pricing strategies based on volume, including customer pricing segmentation
Develop and implement a consistent marketing and promotional plan, including e-commerce
Review account planning for existing customers and identify gaps in current customer product sales
Discuss inventory management best practices and ensure they are implemented
Encourage collaboration between parts and service departments
Improve and document critical business processes/procedures
Increase understanding and lending support for Navistar’s internal parts program
Support the dealer in additional areas as needed
Create / revise necessary training materials/presentations
Partner with Navistar Parts Sales, National Account, and Product teams
Lead Navistar RSM (Retail Sales Management) initiatives and track KPI’s at selected dealers
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 8 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
Master's degree
At least 6 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
At least 10 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
Fixed operations experience (Parts Manager, Parts Sales Manager, GM)
Heavy truck, machinery, automotive or powersports industry experience
Dealership experience
Excellent computer skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Salesforce
DMS experience is an asset (CDK, Karmak, Procede)
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
Team oriented but can work independently as well
Ability to be flexible with schedules and content delivery
Ability to engage audience quickly
Ability to communicate effectively with ALL levels of employees in a dealership environment
Flexibility with travel schedule
Resourceful and not afraid to try something different
