Operations Quality Manager

External DescriptionAudubon, an EPC company in Houston, has an immediate need for an Operations Quality Manager. In this role you will be responsible will be responsible for aligning all process, procedures, testing protocols, document and control procedures; supporting the quality control program and specifically addressing and resolving issues compromising operating standards within all internal and external resources of the Company; monitoring activities of fabricators for compliance, non-conformance and possible schedule delays; and coordinating closely with the Production Manager and Supply Chain Manager.Responsibilities:Update of the Quality Management System ManualIntegrate company quality management system with the company energy solutions QMS and QMS ManualDevelop and maintain quality metrics dashboard (KPI's)Maintain QMS Manual and all QMS documents, processes and proceduresManage quality manual and document control processSupport the development of a manufacturing process plan, including the determination of personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needsSupport activities and collaborate with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to ensure adherence to required quality standards and specificationsReview and interpret plans, specifications and other documents to assist with identification of any flaws with project design, schedule and/or budgetReview production and operating reports on a regular basis in order to identify problem areas and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delaysManage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs) procedures, documents, criteria, protocols, and data collection processSupport corporate quality system compliance, certification initiatives and audit processesWork closely with the Production Manager and Engineering to develop, implement and execute project / program / product test plansDrive quality initiatives to advance our implementation of continuous improvement principles and establish these efforts as part of our cultureLead root cause investigations to drive corrective and preventative actionsWork with the production team to ensure thorough and timely dispositions of non-conforming material to maintain continuity of production and containment of problems before they reach the customerDevelop and maintain a detailed understanding of company products and related manufacturing objectives and constraintsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesQualifications:10+ years of related quality work experience with manufacturing; preferably modular high-tech engineering, procurement and fabricationExperience with the development and implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) for an engineering, procurement and fabrication organizationExperience with Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for engineering fabricated equipmentWorking Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Systems implementation complianceExperience performing Nonconformance and Corrective Action Root Cause analysisExperience with lean ManufacturingSix Sigma green belt / black belt preferredProven track record of helping to drive manufacturing quality improvement projectsDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex methodologies to diverse audiences and stakeholdersUncompromising dedication to product qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office softwareAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to work in structured and unstructured systems environmentsMust be driven and self-motivatedEqual Opportunity Employer / Veterans / DisabledWorking at AudubonClient-focused.
