The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of food safety and quality management systems to facilitate continuous production of food contact packaging in accordance with established standards and customer requirements. The QA Manager will supervise a team of quality control inspectors and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.DESCRIPTIONCollaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve customer and internal quality issues and complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and product integrity.Provide leadership and guidance to inspection and testing teams to maintain high productivity and technical integrity. Develop and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.Utilize statistical data and product specifications to establish quality standards and reliability expectations for finished products. Analyze trends and deviations to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Offer technical and statistical expertise to teams, supporting problem-solving efforts and facilitating data-driven decision-making processes.Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and objectives. Develop and implement inspection criteria and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities, providing guidance and support to maintain high productivity and technical integrity within the team.Manage the Food Safety and Quality Management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including HACCP and GMP protocols.Maintain an active role in safety initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and research and development efforts. Manage food safety and quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide support to R&D departments in the development of new products.Foster a culture of collaboration and performance excellence, demonstrating strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to drive organizational success.COMPETENCIESStrong communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and influencing abilities.Proven leadership capabilities, including strong influencing skills.In-depth knowledge of QA product standards and processes.Process-oriented mindset with strong technical capacity.Exceptional organizational skills and customer/client focus.Ability to collaborate effectively and drive performance management.Proficiency in data collection, management, and analysis.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position manages QA Engineers and Leads, providing guidance and support to ensure team success.WORK ENVITOMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, and the noise level in the work environment can be loud.TRAVELOccasionally. National and International destinations.EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Master degree will be a plus.Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including supervisory/management experience.Strong knowledge of tools, concepts, and QA methodologies, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.Additional eligibility qualifications include quality experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in plastics flexible packaging, HACCP & GMP experience, and audit experience.Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.Bilingual
