Senior Analyst, IT
Senior Academic Technology Analyst
The Senior Academic Technology Specialist position collaborates directly with faculty while providing leadership to colleagues on instructional design, pedagogy and course-related website development.
Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration with faculty to understand online course plans including necessary materials and teaching approaches
- Manage consultation with faculty on course content display
- Create, manage and support EMBA, Daytime, MMS, Ph.D, DKU, and MQM course sites
- Assist with resource management for course site creation
- Train faculty and staff on current LMS functions and site maintenance
- Gather, analyze and report student feedback on current LMS
- Consult on creation, implementation and management of course site templates
- Manage collaboration with the technical team to test, document and demonstrate new academic software applications and tools
- Lead collaboration with faculty, students and staff on innovative uses of current technology
- Bachelor's degree with additional experience in leadership, project management, instructional design and LMS Administration
- Instructional design expertise with insights about technology trends and solutions
- Experience with web authoring tools, multimedia tools, presentation software, streaming video in an academic environment
- Knowledge of learning management systems and other tools widely-used for teaching
- Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Problem-solver with the ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical terms
- Ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people within an academic community
- Evidence of ability to generate faculty enthusiasm for and engagement in the use of new technologies for teaching
