The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Plant Production Manager for our Levy Gallatin Mill Service location in Ghent, KY. The Plant Production Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the slag plant and other processing plants.

Salary Minimum: $100,000 annually

Responsibilities

The Plant Production Manager:
  • Coordinates with the Sales and Marketing team to identify production needs
  • Develops and maintains relationships with mill management, vendors and operations management
  • Assists the Operations Manager in developing budgets and business plans
  • Ensures products and services meet customer specifications
  • Coordinates teams to identify process improvements
  • Reviews monthly budget to manage costs
  • Assists with the evaluation of capital expenditures
  • Monitors Outside scrap sale coordinating
  • Manages Railcar scheduling and Tracking
  • Monitors Onsite Slag sales
  • Manages satellite scrap sales site
  • Handles Shipping yard coordinating with the Levy sales team.
  • Runs KPI reports, analyzes data and utilizes information for better decision-making
  • Assists with the documentation of quality systems procedures and policies
  • Provides reporting and recordkeeping as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager
Skills

The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Some college or degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in industrial or construction environment
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement related programs and controls
  • Ability to understand financial data
  • Supervisory experience
  • Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Valid driver's license
