Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at North American Stainless. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Line Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and address them promptly.
  • Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with the Line Engineer to develop and implement improvements to our equipment and processes.
  • Scheduled Outage Planning: Assist in planning and executing scheduled outages to ensure minimal disruption to production.
  • Plant Support: Provide support to other lines and departments as needed, including working major scheduled outages and backing up maintenance personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Experience: Two years of industrial experience and/or technical degree in a related field
  • Skills: Minimum skill level on PC/computers
Physical Abilities
  • Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the plant
  • Communication: Effective communication skills
  • Strength and Agility: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects
Health and Safety
  • Compliance: Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
  • Reporting: Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Supervisor or Manager
