GMAC’s digital assets are the unique Test Items developed and maintained specifically for administration in its high stakes assessments. The Manager, Digital Asset Management leads the digital asset management function at GMAC and is central to the development and delivery of GMAC’s portfolio of assessment products including the GMAT Exam, the Executive Assessment, and the NMAT. This role works in partnership with individuals on the product team, psychometrics, operations, engineering, security, support, vendors, and other key stakeholders. The primary responsibilities of this role are to: In partnership with the Director, Product Supply Chain & Operations, define, document, and implement the company’s digital asset management strategy;

Recommend and implement strategies to increase the value of the company’s existing digital asset collections through improved utilization and expansion; and

Manage the day-to-day processes required to securely deliver updated Test Items to candidates.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and identify strategies to improve the value and security of the company’s existing digital assets.

Project manage the migration of the GMAT Test Items to the selected item banking solution.

Clearly document the workflows used to develop and deliver Test Items.

Establish both long-term and short-term inventory needs to support GMAC’s assessment and preparation products in coordination with GMAC psychometricians.

Recommend and implement specific strategies to reduce lead times and costs with sourcing, to optimize fulfillment, and to reduce loss due to spoilage including in the areas of global vendor relationships, item generation strategies, item re-use, item development technologies, and automated item generation.

Source raw materials for digital assets of relevant quality at the most cost-effective prices.

Collaborate with GMAC’s team in India to manage and scale the activities of the Item Development Center (IDC) including software, development process, and vendors.

Manage relationships with sourcing, item banking, and reviewing vendors; support relationships with test delivery software vendors; and mediate between vendors when necessary.

Develop and manage a test delivery roadmap to track both item development and ongoing exam updates.

Facilitate the movement of Test Items between item developers, GMAC systems, and test delivery vendors.

Coordinate the reviews required for test item development and exam delivery with vendors.

Create and deliver training related to asset management and development as needed.

Manage test item access and encryption in alignment with GMAC Item Security Guidelines.

Support IP theft investigations and related incidents as needed.

Provide item reporting and auditing as needed.

Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in related field; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.

3 years’ experience in related field.

2 years’ project management experience.

2 years’ experience with digital products and software implementation, specifically Digital Asset Management or Item Banking software.

Familiarity with content development and/or test delivery; knowledge of Computer Adaptive Testing is a plus.

Curiosity to develop a deep understanding of GMAC’s current asset use, the asset development process, and item banking software to help lead GMAC’s efforts to establish new capabilities.

Desire to own Test Item program from development through candidate delivery and to function independently.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on quality.

Comfort managing competing priorities.

Ability to work in-office and remotely according to GMAC’s hybrid work environment.
