Description

The Associate will be an integral part of the Comstock asset management team and lead its hospitality sector. The individual will ensure timely and accurate communications both internally and externally to JV partners. They will be responsible for the financial analysis, reporting and underwriting of potential and in place asset transactions and joint ventures across multiple property types with an emphasis on hospitality, but also including commercial and multifamily assets. This role has terrific exposure to senior executives and many opportunities to grow within the Comstock organization Key Responsibilities Manage relationship with third-party hotel operators.

Create financial models for potential transactions as part of the underwriting process

Assist with and support joint venture relationships across all sectors.

Produce and assist with reporting as it relates to all assets, JVs, and budgeting process

Assist with all aspects of transaction pursuit and due diligence including preparation of Investment Committee materials, due diligence coordination, and other activities

Perform sensitivity analysis and discounted cash flow analysis.

Monitor and report on performance at asset and portfolio level to maximize returns for investors.

Any other financial and joint venture relations activity that may become necessary through the day to day.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 3 – 4 years’ experience in commercial real estate hospitality asset management

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or mathematics preferred

Must want to continuously learn and develop.

Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovation

Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience working with Yardi and ARGUS preferred

Exceptional analytical skills.

Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity

Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence

Must be customer-focused and results-oriented.

Exceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills

Ability to establish strong working relationships with others in team setting.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Self-directed and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
