Job Summary:

The Partnerships Development Manager is responsible for driving the development and execution of partnership programs and product solutions across North America to maximize the high growth pet industry. The role is also responsible for reviewing and evaluating partnership deals and contracts to determine their feasibility, profitability, potential risks and alignment with PetPlace’s strategic goals. The role is also critical in identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, negotiating partnerships and developing innovative strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance our competitive advantage in the marketplace

Main Responsibilities:

Reports to and partners with Vice President, Partnerships and Consumer Operations to draft multi-year strategic growth plans, grounded in our short- and long-term enterprise objectives, goals and strategies. Drive annual revenues, through prospect generation and Petplace members growth. Works closely with our data and marketing teams to establish and monitor our product plans, ensuring we meet or beat all key metrics. Define and track key performance indicators to measure product success and make data-driven decisions. Partner with PetPlace leadership to Plan and execute successful product launches, sales enablement and communications. Partners expand the company’s network of ecosystem partners via a strong understanding of the insurance and pet market, excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to identify and capitalize on partnerships opportunity with IPH’s objectives. Reviews and analyzes business contracts including partnership agreements, service level agreements and vendor agreements, to identify potential risks and barriers to profitability. Leveraging data and insights to drive experience, innovation and identify product gaps with recommendations on approach to solving those product gaps. Assess the financial, profitability and operational viability of proposed partnerships. Analyze financial projections, cost-benefit analysis, and other financial indicators to determine the potential return and long-term value of the partnership. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including business development, marketing, and product teams to drive revenue growth and enhance the company’s market position. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential areas of collaboration. Use these insights to drive strategic decision making and shape pet acquisition strategies. Other duties and projects as needed. Qualifications:

Experience: 8 years’ B2B partnership sales and/or group voluntary insurance benefit, sales, and/or relevant experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)

Licenses/Certifications: Must hold and maintain:

Resident Provincial Property & Casualty License, or must obtain within 6 months of hire; AND Non-Resident Property & Casualty License for all other Provinces and Territories (excluding Quebec), or must obtain within 6 months of hire Strong understanding of the animal industry including veterinary practices, pet care, and related sectors Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills with a track record of making data-driven decisions. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Exhibit strategic selling skills targeting C Suite executives Other:

40% up to 70% travel required within Canada and the US and Canada, based on the needs of the business Must have a valid driver’s license from province of residency Must have and maintain vehicle insurance on transportation used for travel to customer sites Accountability/Complexity:
