We are looking for an Accounting Manager to represent Outerknown. This individual will have experience leading teams in an ever-scaling environment, exhibit a nimble and agile nature to flex as needed, and is comfortable making timely and smart business decisions all while maintaining a focus on safeguarding the assets of Outerknown.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and develop the team effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to team members.Collaborate comfortably with Outerknown business partners (sales, operations, marketing, etc.) and respond to all requests quickly and thoroughly.Oversee the accounts payable team and establish or improve applicable policies and procedures.Review and post journal entries prepared by the accounts payable team and ensure journal entries are correctly categorized and amortized as necessary.Review the accounts payable aging and present to the Controller and CFO in a weekly review.Own the monthly close process and maintain the month-end close checklist.Ensure all journal entries are appropriately prepared, reviewed, and thoroughly documented.Partner with the Controller to accelerate the month-end days to close.Maintain the general ledger and reconcile all sub-ledger to general ledger control account balances.Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Review, establish, and improve policies and procedures relating to the accounting function.Maintain and review the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.Review the work product of other team members prior to posting.Oversee collection of various accounts receivable.Assist with Audit PBC requests.Jump in to assist team members as needed.Complete tasks as requested by the CFO and Controller.Play an active role in the implementation of a new ERP System (NetSuite).

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:A bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting is required.CPA license is preferred.5+ years of experience participating in high-performance accounting teams.Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency.Ability to recognize and react quickly and with ease to changing work demands.Goal-oriented with the ability to stay focused on creating winning results and teams.Experience with an ERP software system, Full Circle and NetSuite preferred.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel with proven experience using pivot tables, VLookup, and analysis of large data sets.
