The Software Engineer will have the knowledge, skills, abilities and/or technical experience in all or some of the following areas: Software engineering, development, integration, test (development, system, user acceptance and operational) and deployment C/C++, Java, or similar object-oriented language, Java Messaging Service (JMS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) RedHat/CentOS or similar Linux Operating Systems Agile Software Development and developing and managing software source code with Subversion, Git or other configuration management tools Enterprise Service Bus: WebLogic, ActiveMQ, Solace, etc Message Exchange Patterns Supporting large databases (design, upgrade maintenance and patching), such as Oracle or Mongo Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Automation Technologies Containerization, such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc. Familiarity with Standards, Style and Guidelines (SSG) best practices Virtual environments / VMWare / Cloud Services Experience in FAA/NAS Systems is a plus Experience with Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) 28/56 Day update schedule is a plus Excellent Documentation and verbal and written communication skills are required. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or other related discipline, 8+ years of experience and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required. This position may require some travel (approx. 10-15-%).
