POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Front Desk Coordinator is to provide a friendly and helpful first impression to our residents, visitors, and staff, adhering to all policies and procedures of the facility while focusing on customer service and satisfaction.

1. Education:

a. Must possess a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency

b. Associates degree preferred

2. Work Experience:

a. Minimum of 1 - 2 year experience as a front desk receptionist preferred

b. Supervisory experience preferred

3. Job Knowledge/Requirements:

a. Excellent communication and organization skills.

b. Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.

c. Exemplary customer service skills.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

During the course of your shift you may be required to perform some or all of the following:
  1. May open and close the Front Lobby, assures all residents, visitors, vendors and contractors adhere to the secure access and departure rules of the facility, and assures the Lobby is secure and that the receptionists do not leave the area without coverage, to aid in guaranteeing a safe environment.

  1. Must be aware of situations in the Lobby area at all times and must never leave the Lobby area unattended.
  2. The Front Desk Coordinator will present a courteous, calm and professional demeanor at all times.
  3. Assures all front desk staff are adequately trained on all tasks and functions.
  4. Communicates any concern or issue immediately to Direct Supervisor and Administrator.
  5. Performs all of the duties of Receptionist and is responsible to make sure Receptionists stay on task and follow through with all job duties.
  6. Responsible for creating and maintaining the receptionists' schedule and assure appropriate coverage for the position including call outs.

8. Distribute work assignments and assures their completion.

9. Serve as main switchboard operator for the entire facility. Screens and ascertains nature of calls and relays to proper location within facility.

10. Makes sure minimal paging occurs. Paging is appropriate during emergency situations.

11. Assists in resident elopement prevention by maintaining the wanderer book, by communicating with nursing personnel whenever a resident leaves the facility for an appointment or attempts to elope.

12. Assures that visitors sign in and out of facility

13. Assists visitors and residents with directions.

14. Maintains current list of residents to aid in directing visitors and to notify staff of their visitors, appointments, etc.

15. Performs all CODE (i.e. "Dr. Red") procedure in response to facility's fire alarm system.

16. Performs and initiates all codes in the event of an emergency.

17. Collects resident's clothing from visitors and has inventory sheet completed and relays to laundry for marking.

18. Aids in the administration of resident trust accounts by collecting monies and providing receipts.

19. Prepares reception employee payroll on pay week and submits to Administrator for review and signature

20. Completes performance evaluations on front desk staff

21. Distributes payroll checks and additional announcements to staff.

22. Adhere to all break time rules

23. Adhere to all facility and department policies and procedures

24. Ensure all HIPAA requirements are adhered

25. Responsible for making all resident ID bands for new admits, readmits, room changes, replacements, etc.

ADA Requirements :

Candidate will have the physical ability to perform job related duties, which may require lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs. or more as needed.

Pay- 20.90 / hr
