JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support daily operational aspects of the Gardens events, retail and admissions programs

Lead operational teams as they support events and programs, including load-in, activation and tear-down/load-out

Manage operational departments to include security and parking

Manage a team of Production Assistants dedicated to the support of events, weddings and operations

Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of trams, shuttles and golf carts

Ensure that trams, shuttles and golf carts are serviced regularly, parked correctly, cleaned and charged nightly to be ready for daytime use

Support the maintenance department in the management and servicing of repair requests and general Garden maintenance tasks

Develop and implement detailed operational plans in support of Garden events and programs

Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage for regular operations and special operations within a defined budget

Create and submit RFPs for special projects and vendors

Negotiate and manage contracts with third party vendors as needed

Recruit, Conduct Interviews, Hire, and Train new and existing teams

Develop and implement departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Support the production and execution of all garden operations, events and educational activities

Manage budgets to ensure financial responsibility and profitability

Develop and maintain communications protocols to insure seamless communication with and between all departments

Assist with payroll procedures across multiple teams, weekly audits, and scheduled submittals.

Serve as both client-and-guest-facing representative, providing excellent customer and client service and maintaining excellent communication with all parties

This is a high-pressure job with long hours and requires a dedicated professional who is willing to roll-up their sleeves and give 100% at all times. Flexibility in personal schedule is a must (including Holidays and Weekends)

Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed

REQUIREMENTS:

College degree or equivalent experience preferred

Minimum three-to-five years of management experience in Operations

Hospitality experience a plus

Strong project management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications required, with a special emphasis on Excel

Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results

Ability to build consensus and cultivate relationships

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written comprehension and communication skills

Ability to multi-task and maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful environment

Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate staff and support senior staff

Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
