Summary
As a Senior Project Manager (SPM) at Cedar Gate Technologies, you will deliver expected Business Value for large, complex strategic projects, including new products, product integration, client migrations, operational improvements and optimization, new vendor products, and Security/Risk compliance. The SPM is expected to understand the Company’s strategic direction to ensure project alignment and manage associated risks and issues. Your projects will consist of multiple workstreams, cross-project dependencies, and cross-functional teams based in two countries across various time zones. We want a Senior Project Manager who is a Change Champion leading the definition and implementation of Enterprise SDLC / PMO practices, tools, and Center of Excellence (COE), resulting in optimization and maximized team results. Occasionally, you will manage special projects with corporate executives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead, drive, and deliver tangible Business Outcomes for Strategic projects instrumental to Corporate Goals
Apply standard Project Management discipline on software development projects with one or more workstreams
Effectively report project status to multiple levels of the organization
Contribute to the development and execution of an Enterprise PMO vision
Define and implement standard Enterprise SDLC / PMO Center of Excellence (COE), including policies, practices, artifacts, and governance
Develop and deliver presentations to clients, employees, and executives
Facilitate and collaborate one-on-one and with large groups from various backgrounds and levels
Negotiate, influence, lead complex problem-solving, and provide ongoing feedback
Identify and champion continuous improvement ideas
Job Location: Hybrid Remote at our office in Houston, TX
Required Experience / Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of experience managing large software projects with cross-functional teams; more than ten (10) years of experience would be preferred
Effective Project Management discipline on large software development projects (project, scope, schedule, budget, issue, risk, and change management)
Driven thought leader for Business Value and Client Excellence with tangible results
Experience defining and implementing Enterprise SDLC and PMO policies, practices, artifacts, and governance
Proven ability to persuade, inspire, lead, and coach others from various backgrounds and levels with strong verbal and written communication
Proactive and adaptive leader who understands when to be a leader or individual contributor and has the willingness to do both
Ability to travel for project and client meetings when necessary
Business, Technical, or Liberal Arts Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
Preferences – Not Required
PMP or ScrumMaster certifications
More than two (2) years of healthcare industry experience
Five (5) years of experience leading and developing cross-functional teams across multiple time zones with optimized results
Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile Methodologies
Expertise and experience in Project Portfolio Management
Enterprise capacity planning experience
